RAINIER VALLEY – The Rainier Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its 25th annual scholarship auction benefiting local high school students.
“Play It Forward” will be held on the basketball court at the Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club. Guests are invited to wear their favorite sports team apparel (high school, college or professional) or their school colors. Tickets are $75 until Feb. 27, and $85 after that date.
“By attending this gala event, you can be a part of making the Rainier Valley great!” said Rainier Chamber Executive Director Susan Davis.
In addition to the organization’s Youth Scholarship program, proceeds from the auction will benefit the upcoming Bridge to Beach All Valley Community Clean up and the 20th annual Rainier Valley Heritage Parade & Summer Streets Party in August 2012.
The events is planned for Sat., March 10, at the Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club (4520 MLK, Jr. Way). Find more information here.
