Two Doormen Shot at Rainier Beach Motorcycle Club

September 5, 2010

in 911,News

Two doormen at a Rainier Beach motorcycle club were shot yesterday by a man who arrived with several women and refused to allow the doormen to pat him down before he entered the club. According to SPD:

This lead to a verbal confrontation and shots being fired from the suspect at the doormen.  Seattle Fire responded and treated both victims on the scene. They were later transported to Harborview Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. Both victims had never seen the suspect before and gave only vague physical descriptions of the shooter. One other Club member was outside and he gave a video statement to Officers.

The Gang Unit responded and processed the scene. Two guns were recovered from Club members at the scene and one was found on a victim. They were placed into evidence pending the investigation.

Note to local non-gang members who are hesitant to protect themself with a gun… look at how many of these gang member shootings result in the shooter shooting themself or his intended target in the leg, or just giving them a wound. Kills are RARE.

That’s because these gang bangers don’t practice how to shoot or train themselves on accuracy. They shoot to look cool and get laid, that’s about it. They shoot without properly aiming, and sometimes they shoot the gun sideways because it looks cool. They make for easy targets, if you are defending yourself, in other words. Especially if the moron in front of you has never been to a shooting range.

Observation noted…

But you can get shot in the chest and live, and get shot in the leg and die.
22. cals can bounce in some crazy ways.

But yes proprer training is going to trump the gangsta shooting 9 1/2 times out of 10

Wait a minute! On Date Night, sideways was “the kill shot.”

But honestly, adding a gun into a youth’s attempt to feel powerful doesn’t make them any smarter, and if their victim is better armed and better trained may be lesson enough to be humbled.

I didn’t know that Rainier Beach had a motorcycle club.

Joking aside, I’ve already started practicing at the local gun ranges. I don’t support carrying a gun on your person all over the city, but I’m not opposed to possessing and knowing how to use a firearm in the sake of protecting the house against any thug who’s equally armed. Anyone looking for a gun range can check here:

Several ranges have safety and training courses. Some rent safety equipment, firearms, and ammo.

Above comment not meant to be a call to arms but more of a point in the correct location for safe and proper handling in the event some of you are not kidding around. Clearly, we don’t need more people running around with a gun with no idea how to use it!

Mich
Do they train you that you can not let off a full clip and then stick the barrel down your pants? I love that in the movies, that and the 10-11 shot revolver.

Mark B: Sure, and they teach you how to shoot one-handed just like they do on those detective shows. :D
