Two motor vehicle accidents in the Rainier Valley this morning:
1. Numerous units responded to a two-car collision in Rainier Beach that was called in at about 10:30 am. According to Mark Jamieson of SPD’s Media Response Unit, both directions of Renton Avenue at Barton Avenue South will be closed until further notice while SFD attempts to free a victim trapped in one of the vehicles.
2. Less than an hour later, at 11:19 am, several units responded to a motor vehicle accident at Martin Luther King, Jr. Way between Othello and Myrtle (above). You can see by our photo at right that at least one victim is being attended to by medics on the scene.
