RAINIER VALLEY – Have you registered for the fourth annual Bridge to Beach All-Valley Clean Up on Sun., April 22nd?

Everyone’s help is needed as hundreds of Southeast Seattle friends and neighbors pitch-in to clean up streets, parks, gardens and planting strips in our community.

The City of Seattle will provide trash grabbers, gloves, trash bags, and garbage pick up to get the jobs done. Projects can further be enhanced by applying for a Small Sparks grant to help with outreach to neighbors, to buy needed supplies or to plan celebratory event following your accomplishment. Find more info here.

Last year, 20 groups of Rainier Valley neighbors, business owners and friends participated in a coordinated effort to clean up streets, graffiti, parks, gardens and planting strips from the I-90 Bridge to Rainier Beach.

Seattle Neighborhood Group is ready to register volunteers for the upcoming bridge to beach clean-up, but we would like to clarify that the City of Seattle provides clean-up bags, grabbers, etc. We hope you will come out for this wonderful all-valley event!
