BIG thanks to Rainier Beach neighbor James Callan who turned us on to the fact that Skillet – that crazy-good, wandering food club heretofore found in various north-of-I-90 locations, is looking for a new place to serve Saturday lunch and they’re considering Columbia City!

UPDATE (3/12 @ 7:10 pm): Rainier Valley neighbors have totally overwhelmed Skillet’s comment section with no less than a dozen votes in support of Columbia City and three in support of some other random north-of-I-90 locations not worth mentioning. I approve this plan. The one time I tried to eat at Skillet when they were doing lunch in Sodo they were summarily shut down by the health department moments before I made it to the front of the line. That wacky health department!
Holy crap, I think I’m going to faint. I’ve had Skillet at Sodo and considered it at their location on 12th Ave. Please come to Columbia City, please please?
