Seattle Public Schools broke for summer vacation yesterday afternoon and within an hour, dozens of families were crammed into the Rainier Valley’s favorite ice cream parlor and old-school arcade. At times the line was more than a dozen deep as Ken and his peeps scooped the manna from heaven they call “ice cream”.
What’s your favorite Full Tilt flavor? Ube? Blue Moon? Birthday Cake? Lemon Chocolate? Salty Caramel? Peanut Butter Bacon? Photo/Mikala Woodward

Maybe we should include free Tilt ice cream at all community meetings and safety walks from now on. How about it, Tilt? That’s what a sustainable community is all about — sacrifice.
Full Tilt has provided a great venue to budding artists of the community by featuring the local youth music & art talents.
Tiger Monkey, Full Tilt is INCREDIBLY generous already:
They are currently giving away ice cream to anyone who purchases a Jubilee Days ticket (a community event)
To celebrate their 2 year anniversary this past weekend, they donated one cone for every cone sold to the White Center Food Bank
They donated the day’s profits for all 3 stores to the Red Cross Relief Fund for Haiti
They evangelize other fundraisers to help local elementary schools
They provide a safe, fun environment for everyone
They host all ages shows featuring local bands and DJs and local artists
They very vocally support other small businesses and restaurants (Proletariat Pizza, Marination Mobile, Mawadda Cafe to name a few)
The guys at Full Tilt are very passionate about the local community and are doing a lot of good things already. I think they’re ahead of a lot of other local businesses when it comes to sacrifice.
One of my points being that donating to some causes should have priority over other causes. Community safety and education of youth takes priority over art, Haiti, food banks, etc.
I never said Tilt did not give. Who does not give? We all wake up in the morning to go to work to contribute to society. That’s the purpose of civilization and our collective work.
@Tiger Monkey: Who died and left you the boss of the philanthropic efforts of others?
Why is one “Tiger Monkey” and the other “Tiger Monket”?
Is one male and one female?
Thank you Mark B. I ended up with coffee up my nose from laughing at that one. Honestly, I think that’s comment of the week material. Or wisecrack of the year.
I hope it wasn’t too hot, but you are not supposed to snort it, that’s why they give you those really skinny straws.
What’s the address? Sounds like the thing to see.
