The Rainier Valley will be awash with activity and celebration on Sun., May 1, as hundreds of Southeast Seattle friends and neighbors participate in the third annual Bridge to Beach All Valley Clean Up – a coordinated effort of getting dirty in order to clean up streets, parks, gardens and planting strips in our community.
“By the end of the day, our neighborhoods will look better as we celebrate the spring,” said Rainier Chamber Executive Director Susan Davis.
The City of Seattle will provide trash grabbers, gloves, trash bags, and garbage pick up to get the jobs done. Projects can further be enhanced by applying for a Small Sparks grant to help with outreach to neighbors, to buy needed supplies or to plan celebratory event following your accomplishment.
