Seattle police are searching for a man suspected of stabbing another man Thursday at about 10:45 pm in the 3500 block of South Juneau Street near Martin Luther King, Jr. Way.
The victim works at a rehab center in the area, and confronted the suspect because of his drinking, which is not allowed at the facility.
The confrontation escalated when the suspect’s wife – also the center’s intake officer – tried to intervene, and the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the leg and stomach before fleeing east on foot east across Martin Luther King Jr. Way South.
According to police:
Patrol and K9 responded and combed the area, but their efforts were fruitless. The suspect is known to live on the streets or at the incident address and is known to the victim. The victim was treated on scene by Seattle Fire and later tranported to harborview with non-life threatening injuries.
