How Has Your ‘Hood Changed Over the Years? Seattle Planning Commission Wants to Know

August 7, 2009

in Development,News

This just in from Southeast District Council (SEDC) NPAC Representative Christie Coxley:

It was great to see many of you at last week’s Neighborhood Planning meeting. There is still opportunity for folks in our community to give the City their thoughts on the Neighborhood Plans. Go here to access an online survey that is very easy to fill out (DEADLINE is Wed., Aug. 12). As you can see by the chart below, there have been very few online surveys received from southeast residents. It is very important that the City hear from our residents because this is one of the tools that the City will be using to determine which Neighborhood Plans will be updated in 2010.

According to the city’s chart above, there have been only seven south-end responses compared to 164 in Ballard!

There has been no implementation of the Genesee/Hillman/Columbia Neigborhood plan in Hillman City. I don’t believe there has been any inplementation of this plan except for in the Columbia City neighborhood. Except for what we’ve managed to change for ourselves, no there has been no change.
