
Kids aged 7-18, of all golfing levels, are invited to participate in the free junior golf program offered by the Fir State Junior Golf Foundation beginning Sun., June 28, at Beacon Hill’s Jefferson Park Golf Course (JPGC).
Three-hour sessions will take place once a week for 11 weeks at JPGC from 3-6 pm starting every Sunday from June 28-September 6, and will include several tournament play opportunities.
Program registration will be held from 3-6 pm, Sat., May 30, at JPGC (4101 Beacon Ave. S.). Parent or guardian must be present to sign release. Enrollment in the program is limited, and interested juniors must pre-register.
Clubs will be provided on loan for participants who need them. The club-fitting session will take place from 3-6 pm, Sat., June 20 at the Fir State Golf Clubhouse.
The Fir State Junior Golf Foundation is the charitable arm of the Fir State Golf Club, established in 1947 to increase access to golf in the minority community. The Foundation operates a free inner-city junior golf program and provides instruction, bags, clubs, and competitive opportunities. The Foundation also provides tuition scholarships for college-bound junior golfers.
