OTHELLO – A man attacked another man and stole his car shortly after midnight last Wednesday, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The victim and a female friend were sitting in his car at 46th Avenue South and South Othello Street, where he had met her to sell her a few DVDs, around 12:18 a.m. Jan. 3.
When the woman got out of the car, another man jumped into the passenger seat and demanded money before attacking the victim, according to police.
The victim fought back before getting out of the car, at which point the attacker moved into the driver’s seat and drove away, according to police.
Officers were unable to locate the carjacker or the stolen car.

Does the person that wanted to sell DVDs know that you can use eBay for this?
Maybe he did, and this was a meet up, instead of paying shipping, to close the deal. Also e-bay requires a credit card to get started. Could be this buyer and seller don’t have one (at least of their own).
Sounds fishy. DVD purchaser and carjacker in cahoots?
A meetup at 12:18 am? To sell DVDs?
Drug deal gone sideways.
@5 Yup. Or a prostitute and her pimp took a gullible john for a ride.
Dvds? Bet the responding cops had a good laugh at that.
The best defense against carjacking: a manual transmission.
The best retrieval system for carjacking.
