Cool, Cloudy Seafair Weather Trims Crowds, Arrests

A daylong rain Saturday and cool, cloudy weather Sunday kept the crowds down for the final weekend of Seafair.

It also reduced the number of boaters on Lake Washington arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

On hot, 80-degree days during past hydroplane-race weekends, as many as 148 boaters were arrested in cases of boating under the influence, a misdemeanor. Through mid-afternoon Sunday, only 54 had been cited. Read more.

It didn’t look like there was that many boats this year, were they checking everyone?

O.K got the low down on the beer prices and it wasn’t $10.00 it was $5.00 for a 12oz can of Bud, Really? $30.00 for a 6pack of Budweiser? Then when that ran out they started selling cups of piss warm beer (sorry about the expression but thats what I was told) Charging that much for beer and you can’t even keep it cold?
