Around 6:30 pm Saturday, two men armed with handguns and wearing ski masks walked into a hair salon located in the 2300 block of 15th Avenue South near Beacon Avenue South on Beacon Hill, grabbed a female employee by the shirt, ordered her to the floor and demanded money.
A male employee was ordered at gun point to walk to the back of the business.
Meanwhile, the female victim managed to run out the door and across the street to a gas station for assistance. Both suspects fled the building when they realized their victim had escaped.
No one was injured and there didn’t appear to be any damage to the salon or adjacent buildings, but several witnesses reported hearing one or two gunshots as the suspects fled the area.
According to police, the suspects remain at large.
Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identities or whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call 911 immediately and refer to this incident.

wow, another woman beats the odds and foils a crime!
To Editor:
Given today’s articles have you expanded coverage to Beacon Hill? If so, I would suggest adding the CD also as neighborhoods that impact the valley directly.
Thanks,
@Tom T: We’ve always covered Beacon Hill. If you want more/different coverage then I suggest you volunteer to provide it or start your own blog.
Tom T, you should get with Tom A.
He has many of the same ideas about adding CD stories, and he needs to be brought back into the conversation. I miss him.
