On Fri., Nov. 13, America SCORES Seattle will hold their 7th annual Poetry Slam, where nearly 200 Seattle elementary school students – including many from Southeast – will perform their own original works of poetry and prose, written during their participation in the America SCORES Seattle after-school program.
The Poetry Slam is free and open to the public and kicks off at 5 pm at Cleveland High School (5511 15th Ave. S.) on Beacon Hill. For more information call 206-988-1000.
Participating south-end schools include Dunlap Elementary, Emerson Elementary and Maple Elementary.
